ofcourse You are right
In Romanian Revolution in 90th past century.
Aginst dictatorship & communism
aginst the dictator Shafshinko.
Approximately 40,000 forty thousands was killed in first day,
But the Revolution was continued until Shafshinko gaveup & go away

But........here
1- the horror & maybe the panic overcome the heat & rage
2-our differences & disputes are weaken our struggle & disperse our efforts
